Today we toured Johnstown, PA. For those of you who don't know, this town has been ravaged by three floods, the 1889 flood was by far the worst, killing 2,209. There is a Flood Museum here which is very informative and worth the visit. Sadly, two other floods have devastated this town, most recently 1977. We also saw downtown and the "water markings" on the municipal building. Also toured the Incline Plane and met some of the locals. Always an interesting time when you throw in the locals--no matter where you go. At 70 degree angle, this is quite a sight. Ended the day by touring University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. A nice campus with gorgeous views. My son is on staff there. I am happy for his wife and him. They are happy and have a warm home.
