Thanksgiving Day has made me quite reflective. My mom almost died Mother's Day weekend of this year, so to have her with us...with me at my son's home is such a blessing. Through UF Duke medical schools, the miracles of modern medicine unfolded and the guidance from the Lord took mom safely through a tretcherous path over the last 7 months. Truly an amazing journey and we are all grateful for her good health. My son and his wife are happily married and that is a blessing to watch and see unfold. His professional direction is on wonderful footing and her career continues to blossom. They are both gifted and unique, and I have the blessing of loving them and being loved by them. I am also thankful for my daughter and her husband and 2 girls. They are such a happy family too. I am grateful that both of my children have loving, special spouses. My best friend traveled with us to Pennsylvania and I think has enjoyed seeing this part of the world--western PA. He has been a real help along the way. He chronicles a lot with pictures and gets many great shots. Tomorrow is a long ride back to Atlanta--12 hours, but the time will move quickly I'm sure. There is so much to see along the way...and alot of West Virginia to see! Make sure that you tell a loved one today that they are dear to you. Don't be silent in this regard!
